Tally integration · Accounting
Keep Tally. Make everything else talk to it.
Tally is where your accountant, your CA and your GST filings live, and it does that job well. What it isn't built for is running sales follow-ups, chasing payments on WhatsApp or giving an owner a live phone dashboard. We connect Tally to those workflows instead of asking you to replace it.
What it does
What the Tally integration does
- Reads ledgers, vouchers, outstanding bills and stock items from Tally on a schedule.
- Builds live receivables, sales and stock views from that data.
- Posts approved sales, purchase and receipt vouchers back into Tally for review.
- Triggers workflows — reminders, alerts, tasks — when something changes in Tally.
What data can sync
| Data | Direction | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Customer & vendor ledgers | Two-way | Names, GSTIN, credit periods, groups |
| Sales & purchase vouchers | Two-way | Invoices, credit/debit notes, bill-wise details |
| Outstanding bills | Reads from | Bill-wise receivables and payables with due dates |
| Stock items & godowns | Reads from | Quantities, values, godown-wise stock |
| Receipts & payments | Two-way | Bank and cash entries against bills |

Who it's for
Who finds this useful

- Sales teams
- Know a customer's outstanding before promising the next order.
How it connects
TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 expose data through Tally's built-in XML/HTTP and ODBC interfaces. A lightweight connector runs on the computer or server where Tally is hosted and syncs data on a schedule. Nothing in your Tally company file is restructured.
Implementation considerations
- Tally must be running (on a desktop, server or Tally on cloud/remote setup) for the connector to sync.
- Sync frequency is configurable; near-real-time is possible, but most businesses choose 15–60 minute intervals.
- Writing into Tally is usually configured to create vouchers for accounts to review before finalising.
- Data quality matters: duplicate ledgers or inconsistent stock item names are reviewed during setup.
- Multi-company Tally setups are mapped company by company.
Exact scope, sync frequency and write-back permissions are confirmed for your setup during the business audit.

FAQ
Tally integration FAQs
Will I need to stop using Tally?
No. Tally stays your book of accounts. The platform reads from and, where you allow it, writes to Tally.
Which Tally versions are supported?
TallyPrime and Tally.ERP 9 both provide XML/ODBC access. We confirm your exact version, release and hosting setup during the audit.
Does our Tally data leave our office?
Synced data is transmitted over encrypted connections to the platform so dashboards and workflows can use it. You control which companies and data types are synced.
What if Tally is on a computer that is switched off at night?
Syncing pauses and resumes when Tally is available again. Businesses that want continuous sync usually host Tally on an always-on machine or server.
